Organized in 1775 the Massachusetts State Navy was reorganized on December 29, 1967. Declared the official colonial navy of the Commonwealth the Governor signed legislation authorizing the group to carry the colors and to wear the distinctive uniforms of the Commonwealth’s Navy of 1775. Now in the 52nd year the CNM plays the music, wears the uniforms and marches to the cadence of the time period. Today, the CNM is the only group of Revolutionary War sailors. We practice in Tiverton, RI and Fall River, MA. We perform throughout MA, RI, CT and visit other ports on occasion. For more information see our FaceBook page, visit our website at CNM1775.org, send us an email at CNM1775@CNM1775.org or call our recruiting officer at 508.965.8948 or 508.679.3187 and leave a message.
